Not long after, another customer remarked, 'Starting work already?'

This is me at 7am today, North Melbourne, eavesdropping on a serendipitous conversation.

Here I was, indulging in a tasty breakfast before a client gig, when this gentleman settled at the next table, ordered his coffee, and flipped open his laptop.

Not long after, another customer remarked, 'Starting work already?'

That sparked a casual conversation about the benefits of early starts and the flexibility of remote work.

Turns out, the guy with the laptop owns an accounting firm.
Coincidentally, the other customer was in need of an accountant.
Contact details were swapped right then and there.

This overheard exchange was a refreshing reminder:  Opportunities can spring up anywhere, sometimes even when you're simply enjoying life in your favourite cafe.
